You could install the triggers on a slightly wider bar. These are not expensive and I think well worth it. I just bought a Screamer tandem with narrow bars and the grip shifts and I will be going to the X.9 triggers and B39 Bar as soon as I can afford to. I have the triggers on two other bikes and love them.
B-39s on my V-Rex. Leverleg's Tailwind has the T-bars.
