A few years ago I rode a metric century by myself. I wasn't prepared for it; not really in good enough shape, not knowledgeable about hydration/nutrition. The ride kicked my a$$ and scared me away from the bike for a long time. Everytime I looked at it I associated it with pain.
Glad you're out again. It may take a while before you're back 100%, but just know that each ride will be better than the previous one.
