I commute as much as I can during the week. Usually about 3-4 days.
On the weekends, I head out to Banff or Kananaskis Country to ride the single track trails and downhills in the Rockies with my buddies.
Banff is just over an hour away, so it's very handy. If there are Black bear or Grizzly warnings, then we tend to stick around to the foothill areas where we still can do single track with some downhill sections.
My S.O. commutes to work, but she doesn't off road at all. She enjoys it when I'm off riding, as it leaves her the house and yard to herself without me around bugging her all the time.
