It might be some grease on a contact area or some dirt over the Rf receiver. Clean the outside of the unit, and then give it a blast of canned-air (photo-shops). My Cateye pulls this too - on occasion. I am assuming you have a wired model? Do clean off the contact surfaces(where things plug-in). This should get it working optimally. On wireless it tends to need a bit of cleaning where the unit transmits and receives on both the transmitter and the computer.
Nah, I just forgot to press the left button to make the trip timer start. It had been a while and I just forgot. In reading the instructions I missed it. YOu really have to concentrate when reading those things and actually have the thing in front of you.
