Thank you for the constructive comments guys. Sorry deffinately not a racer or anything of that sort I just fell in love with a buddy's single speed at the simplicity and how quiet the ride is. Being able to be rough with the bike, the ability to pickup speed so fast, no derailer or constant tweaking all the time is what is pulling me towards this idea. Just want to get on and enjoy the ride and I know spending more would be the smartest thing but I just can't afford it as I am still a minimum wage student. If someone stole a $800 bike from me I would be SOL for a long time. So for me to gather a large amount of cash will take a long time where I would rather get on a bike and be able to actually ride this summer and over time ad the parts that I want as money becomes available for them. I am looking at the Kilo TT right now after doing some reading of the "A discussion of budget fixed-specific frames/complete bikes "
