Check out Schwalbe, especially their Super Moto & Marathon series.
Personally, if you are not too fussed about the fastest possible speed, I'd suggest you go with atleast a 1.8-2.0 tire for the relatively plush ride (eg, Marathon Supremes). They still roll very well on the tarmac.
