As it seems right now, the manager of Dick's Sporting Good's that I dealt with seems to be ready and willing to help. He made me a rough hand written warrenty stating that Dicks would honer the warrenty that GT had, dated it and signed it. Now if that holds true or not is yet to be seen, and hopefully I wont have to find out.
Any way, just a side note here, if you live around Durham- Chapel Hill N.C and are looking for a fair deal on a bike stop in to Dick's and ask for Ed, he was very helpful and patient
(store closed at 9:30, I didnt leave the store till shortly after 10) They sell a variety of brands, some are bike shop brands and quality, others are not, prices were fom 69$ on up to 2k.
