I used to do it when I had softer tires. My Contis never got a piece of glass anywhere near them.
Man I miss those tires
80 PSI and for the most part they just crunched anything I rolled over. I never flatted on 'em, never had to think about 'em, and never saw anything even remotely close to a pin prick in 'em.
