That is an incredibly nice bike... once you get the 9 speed chain you should be able to dial in that rear d to handle things via friction.
I have a 600 aero post stashed somewhere in the bin o' parts that I'd trade for that laprade and shipping... if I can find it and if it fits it's yours.
