My car's license expired the other day so I figured I would ride to work, bad idea when you live in North St.Louis county. The people here do not feel the need to move over, instead they try to get as close to you without hitting you as they can. I have thought about getting a road bike once or twice but these a-holes reminded me why I love the dirt so much.
I've dappled in road biking a few times in the past 20 years, wasn't so bad when I lived with the parents in the suburbs. Now that i live out in the country, I'm horrified at how the local rednecks are towards roadies, I've been run off the road, had bricks thrown at me, etc. Consider it a blessing that these a'holes reminded you of why you love the dirt.
I no longer ride my road bike...
