The wheel base on stride is very short, so going up hills with any gearing might be impossible.
If the BB and crankarms are standard then the upgrade should be possible.
If your plan is to get the bike to go faster, Strida might not be safe at the speeds you want.
2 speed might be nice but probably not too useful.
