4 day tour

I am planning a 4 day tour this fall, but will be traveling light and staying in motels. Cedartown is about dead center on the route and has lots of motels and restaurants. Planning on staying at the University Inn in Jacksonville, AL just a few miles before the end of the trail at Weaver.

Camping at the Rock is a pretty good midpoint location. If you plan to trailside camp in the Talladaga National Forest, be sure you have a good map of the National Forest so you know for sure you are not camping on private land. National Forest and private land boundaries can be pretty convoluted. Make sure you carry enough water for your overnight.

If you camp, you could stash your outfit, or set up camp and then do any evening ride to the end of the trail and back if you are intent on riding the whole thing.

The other option might be camping at the Rock out and back and staying one night in Jacksonville.

Somebody needs to open up a bicycle oriented campground/hostel with a bike shop in Cedartown. If believe such a business might thrive.
