To the second summit line: 58 minutes today. Bla. At least I passed 3 people, so I had that going for me.
Actually, I had fun. A skinny guy in a blue kit and I started at the same time, but for some reason he pulled over within the first 300 feet, so I went up alone. Nearing the halfway point I spotted a pair up ahead, giving me the incentive to try and catch. Eventually I did, but then the blue kit rider passed me on a mellow section. With him in sight up ahead, I got my second wind, picked the pace back up and eventually caught him. As I was about to pass before the first summit, he again pulled over and stopped. At the line I stopped for a rest. Some 5 minutes later blue kit passed me as I was getting ready to resume riding. We ended up following the same route down to the coast via Kanan Dume and east along PCH, where we traded lead until I pulled into Malibu bluffs park.
