Umm... people don't wear masks because of the pollution. It's done to prevent infecting other people, and it only really started during SARS back in 2003.

Also, I would suggest what's true about Hong Kong buses is even more true about Vancouver buses. Even though it's more polluted in Hong Kong, it's still better to be on a bus with open windows.

And despite the common perception about Hong Kong being completely built up and congested, there are in fact large undeveloped areas, even on Hong Kong island, that are great for hiking.

Don't mean to be argumentative and derail the thread, but I really like Hong Kong
