I did it last year, and it was pretty tough. I was still technically not in "clyde status" but I had not been eating well and was probably 15 pounds heavier than I am now. It was a pretty tough ride, but I made it. The main thing is just to pace yourself. There are several longish climbs that can take a lot out of you if you push yourself too hard.

As I have a tendency to push myself when I can see my speed, I’m planning to reconfigure my bike computer to show me my heart rate as the big number. I think this will be especially helpful on those longish climbs.
