If I've been riding the tandem a lot, I'll get on the single and find myself calling out "shifting", "braking", "signal left", etc., all to the funny looks I get from others
Same here. It gets worse after riding the tandem and pulling the youngster on the single with tag-along.
What I notice most is how fast the single accelerates comparatively.
