Cool Chris. The next step for me is to go to one of their city council meetings and make a proposal. I have the City Manager on my good side with this... it is just taking forever.
They are losing a lot of money on that park since the skaters don't like it, but they also don't want to patch it up constantly because of BMX'ers. I told them to employ the same rules that Lake Cunningham uses by having riders remove their pegs (I know, I know) and/or use plastic pegs, pedals and bar-ends which seems to effectively keep the surface in pretty decent shape.
I am going to give the "Bicycle Garage" in Fremont a heads up on this and hopefully get their backing as they carry a decent amount of BMX stuff.
We'll see. This is not going to happen next week but I'm working on it while trying to balance Mi Vida Loca.
