If so, HOW?
A Birthday Party often involves gifts. Here's a thought.....

Suppose that those of us who can, gift a bicycle to someone in their community who isn't as fortunate as we may be. It doesn't have to be a new bike, just something that you've picked up somewhere along the way. It can be a direct gift to an individual whom you're aware could use a hand, or given to an organization already set up to do the gifting. Many communities have already set up ways for folks to channel their donated bikes through bike shops etc., and the shops will ensure that the bikes go where they are most needed. Just make sure that it's serviceable and safe to use. Another option could be to donate our time and talents to help someone return their bike to service by helping/teaching them how to do anything from changing a tube to doing a full tune-up.

I know that several folks in this 50+ group already donate time, energy, skills and items. This could be an opportunity for even more of us to help out just a bit.

What better way to celebrate the Birthday of the great 50+ forum than to spread the joy of cycling. Then, at the end of the day, be sure to sit down and have some pie.
