Every more advanced hill goes through the same process:

First attempt, will this hill never end, better walk the rest of the way
Few times later, I think I can, I think I can --- maybe not...
Few weeks and attempt later, I DID IT!!!! (used a gear that would embarrass granny to be caught in, but I did it)
Months some more attempts, hey I didn't even a really low gear
More many more times later, wasn't there a hill around here somewhere?
