You might try looking into finding some Softwalk shoes, or other similar style. In my city, the store that carries them is in the hospital district; their primary market is nurses who are on their feet all day long. My wife gets Softwalks. She's a teacher and on the move a lot. You may find that your foot feels better in shoes like that. They have everything from dressy to casual.
