hi bike/cycling fans
my name is peter valkema and i live in holland in the city of tilburg, about 5 kms from the belgian border. so that's not bad, as both holland and belgium are cycling crazy countries that grind to a complete halt during (for instance) the tour de france.
i've been cycling all my life (school run, racing, bmx, mountainbiking, commuting etc.) as are most dutchies, but recently i have bitten by the fixed gear bug. this sparked another interest: vintage road bikes from the 1970's en '80's.
this forum has been a great help in finding facts and history about different brands and parts, and a general inspiration bacause i'm glad to see so many people into riding (and) bikes!
