I race a Bontrager carbon fork on my 29er and for XC on a rigid bike you can't beat it. Along with the attack angle of the wheel you can't beat it. In the series I race in there are a lot of rigid bikes that have CF forks. There is a lot lets vibration and feedback from CF than the stock steel fork that was on my bike when I bought it.
