Yep. No need to lug around all that electronic gear. One BF member a couple of years ago used Bikeforums itself. He simply stopped in at cafes and libraries as suggested. You can read about his trip in
this thread. Unfortunately, I think he hosted the pictures on a website that wasn't so permanent so they're lost from his posts.
