Ok, I'm not trying to be antagonistic here, but hopefully someone can help me understand the reasoning.
The original thread "Pies for a good cause (Boston)" got moved to Shameless Promotions, presumably because the first (though no subsequent) post had to do with a promotional event between the state-wide cyclist-advocacy group anda local retailer. Seems a little strained, but fine.
But now it seems that the thread about a ride that had absolutely nothing to do with the above (as a promotional event--we was just hungry and thinking about pie) has been merged into same and deleted. Can someone explain?
Apparently there was a problem that a thread over a week old mentioned a not-for-profit for-cyclists'-benefit promotion. That's cool. Subsequently I started a thread about a fixed gear/single speed ride that occurred today that happened to visit the same pie shop previously mentoned. I don't work for or have any other relationship with said shop apart from having eaten a slice of their pie (which was, incidentally, delightful--apple cranberry... mmmm...).
What's up? Frankly it's rude to keep moving this stuff around without so much as a "by the way".
