@Warrior, I never saw this thread till now; maybe one more post will help someone else. The CCRCC cycling group is fairly active; although the rides can be spontaneous (length, duration, intensity), I'm surprised nobody was there the at 8:08 on that day. I'd recommend signing up for the Yahoo group and reading the message board the few days before, you can always cancel your signup after that if you want.

but you have to understand, Circle C is a huge residential community with limited commercial developments, the Starbucks is central and well known and less busy than the HEB across the street. The half dozen rides I've had with them, I eschewed the coffee myself.
