i don't think i can relate because i'm not a parent, but i can relate to Chris. he didn't want a career, or anything society had to offer. he travelled because that's what made him happy.
it's sad that he died, but atleast he lived in freedom. i really look up to him for that.
Starving to death due to lack of preparation and stubbornly being unwilling to use a map (that could have saved him, he was very close to a river crossing) trends more toward stupidity than freedom, in my book.
