Oh heck, I do think he was poking fun just a bit and that is perfectly alright with me. I didn't hear a thing in it about poverty though. Perhaps it would be more acceptable if the subject/target of fun was more upscale, say Frazier or Niles?
Sometimes the people we meet are acutally startlingly close to the stereotype. I am sure I saw Cletus and Nadine in East TN this summer!
