    Best shifter for weak/small hands?

I'm building up a bike for someone with low hand strength and rather small hands. The gearing will be a Sturmey Archer IGH which has either thumb or grip shifters. Which would be easier to actuate?
    Thanks!

May not be quite the same goal , but the new Trigger shifters on my new Brompton , with the Sun Race Sturmey Archer 3 speed

are a lot easier to use than the old steel trigger on the 90's British Sturmey hub, on my 1st (used) Brompton buy.

between the 2 you mention, I'd say the thumb shifter can always be gripped like a faucet handle by smaller hands..
