Off-road biking - will glasses fall of?

Hello,

I feel as though this is a really stupid question but I rely on my glasses and I was just wondering if I would be ok to ride with my glasses on?
Do a lot of people ride with glasses?
Will they fall off?

Thank you

Sunglasses are worn all the time by cyclists without the fear of losing them. There are sports specific glasses such as Rec Specs, but the primary goal is to minimize injury in case of impact. A set of glasses keepers should be more than adequate (and possibly even unnecessary).

I usually wear my temples so that they wrap 90° around the ears, and hold the glasses on pretty well. Your helmet should help some too.

I'm not big into off-road, but the question might be what the effect of the glasses falling off would be.

A glasses strap is good for boating as it is always a pain to hunt for one's glasses at the bottom of the river.

In a particularly rough race, perhaps the extra security of a strap would give some peace of mind. But, if the glasses are fairly secure fitting, then it might be unnecessary for ordinary non-competitive riding.

Nice. I'm sure the helmet should hold the glasses perfectly fine (it's an open face motocross helmet). I will perhaps invest into a strap, and maybe even do some DIY if I have to!
Thank you for the reply, CliffordK.

Here's what I wear every day all day.
EAB-17
Being an auto mechanic , I wanted to make sure my glasses would never fall off into rotating belts or radiator fan.
These are designed to be quite narrow for use behind gas masks and emergency air breathing systems.
They can be fitted with clip on sun glasses as well.
I can literally jump up and down on a trampoline and they won't move or slip.
They clear my Bell bicycle helmet and most motorcycle helmets also.
Very light and tough as nails , maybe not the most fasionable but neither am I..
