Brake levers for single hand...

Greetings
I am normally over at the C&V side of the bike forums and this week when I was visiting my LBS the owner showed me this fantastic vintage Nishiki from the late 70's, He had a request by the single handed owner to get the classic brake to work for him,

I was happy to help and fabricated this lovely vintage shimano 600 arabesque brake lever for him.
both cables in one lever, the shimano gum boot will go over it.

I was able to get a picture taken just before I delivered it to the shop,
this week he asked me to make a second lever based off of a diacompe randonneur pair for the clients other classic bicycle

Well I just thought if anyone has any special requests I would be happy to help!
I felt very rewarded making custom made parts for passionate cyclists.

Hi, I'm new here, and this is my first post. Just thought I'd let you know that this product is on the market already, though I don't know if it meets the same needs as your design.

I just clicked on the link to see the brake handle and I'd like to order it but the web site is down. It appears that the company might be out of business.

Used to be a common Tandem setup, dual cable brake lever for the rim brakes .

and the other lever for the Hub mounted drag brake.

You talked to any Bike Shops on this ? they are common in the distributors catalogs..

also there are cable multipliers QBP has some made . Problem solvers Brand of theirs

1 input cable pulls 2 output cables. inline,

they also make a 2 input cable to 1 output cable for dual locations of similar pull levers to run 1 brake

fietsbob....I'd never heard of QBP. Thanks for pointing it out. It seems they control a huge chunk of the bicycle world.

jefuchs... Wow. It's exactly the same. The original company must have sold out or been taken over. Have you installed it yet?

And let's not forget our original poster. While these products are, and have long been, on the market, there's also the aspect of the lever meeting the rider's aesthetics specifications. If a rider has a specific groupset in mind (say for a vintage semi-restoration), but needs one specialty component, this would be an excellent option - you have a completely matching groupset.
