looking for parts to modify a MT fury roadmaster bike for my wife

I know it's a cheap bike, but the frame works for her and she's able to ride it, my only real option is to upgrade it with better gear and brakes etc, my main issue is I need a pedal crank assembly, so I can modify it to tilt the right pedal slightly, he foot turns to one side on her bad leg, and it causes issues with her being able to ride, as it wants to fall off of the pedal, I am a machinist and fabricator, so I can do the needed modifications easy enough, but I need some parts, these are usually considered junk bikes, but if someone sees one in a bike coop, or knows of another crank that will fit, get in touch with me. I also need to get some sort of decent pedals, these plastic factory ones are complete junk. I dont even know what fits these bikes, I assume it's a chinese made one

Lostforawhile,

I have a Shimano RSX triple and the proper derailleur, cranks and bottom end for it here. You can have it if you think it will help her. It was on my '97 Cannondale R500t and is in excellent condition, I swapped in a road double. I am not familiar with the bike she has so you would need to check for compatibility on threading and such.Since you are a machinist you could modify things if you needed. Let me know if it would help her and if so I'll ship it to you, gratis. Just pay it forward some time else.

if you can send me a pm and I will send you the info, it still says I have too few posts to send PMs thank you so much, she will have some surgery after Thanksgiving, and I will work on her bike while she is recovering, she has some spinal stenosis from a tumor she had as a child, and one of the things she can do is ride bikes.

LFAW,

It's almost certain to be an American bottom bracket.
A one piece crank and American BB should be super cheap. If you were local I would give them to you, but it doesn't make sense to ship them.
You can buy, or make, an adapter for a different BB. This will give you many nicer options if you want to upgrade components, but I doubt it would really be worthwhile.

LFAW,
The crankset and bottom bracket were shipped Thursday by Express Mail. Hope your machinist skills will allow you to use this set-up on that frame.

thank you very much, I'll see what I can do, i wouldst put this much work into a cheap frame, but she can ride it, and the bike suits her, the frame itself seems durable, thats the only thing good on it. she will have at least a couple of weeks off surgery recuperation so I'll have plenty of time to work on it
