Adaptive Cycling: Handcycles, Amputee Adaptation, Visual Impairment, and Other Needs Have a need for adaptive equipment to ride to compensate for a disability or loss of limb or function? This area is for discussion among those of us in the cycling world that are coming back from traumatic circumstances and tell the world, "No, you are not going to beat me down!"

newbie tire question

How do i tell if a tire is tubeless? Can i eyeball it and tell? My tire is a Bontrager T1 700X23c. Bought a lightly used 2011 Trek Lexa and it has factory wheels and tires. Bontrager and Trek sites do not say if it is tubeless. I know nothing about bikes really. I bought the bike to start riding for fitness.

Here's a cross section of the different types. Notice the valve is installed in the tubeless rim as opposed to being in the tube.
I've also reported the thread to be moved to a more appropriate forum where it's more likely to be seen. This particular forum doesn't get much traffic and is intended for topics involving disabled riders.
