I'm sure jimrich would be able to figure that out and include them in his advocacy work.

You should totally make it the forehead or the back of the right hand.

A word of advice: Crusading against scofflaws is an unending endeavor and one likely to drive you completely nuts before you have any glimmer of accomplishment.

Ditto. I've done that to scofflaw motorists a few times in the past. Won't work.

Asking for all cyclists to become more responsible is asking a lot. But mostly, it's none of my business.

I don't believe there is any place in the US which requires a license to ride a bike, and I would vehemently oppose measures which propose to instate such a law. Same thing with mandatory bicycle registration.

Yep, too many of them and not enough of me, I'll just stick to reporting, to local law enforcement, the two to three aggressive motorists that really penetrate my thick skin annually.

Especially when jimrich is lecturing cyclist who are actually legal, but he considers scofflaws because of his own ignorance of the law.

And before Jimrich wants to add that his taxes pay for the streets and bicyclist should pay too because they own the street I just want to say "Thank you for paying for it all, I use it everyday."

Agreed.

Far too often it comes down to motorists believing "bikes don't belong."

A lot of discussions don’t even need to be discussed anymore. Just Google “bicycle licensing” or “cyclists to pay for roads”. You’ll get a ton of links and discussions already explaining in one form or another how most cyclists already hold valid drivers licenses or are already subject to the local highway traffic legislation and how cyclists as property tax payers under-utilize their share of the road for which they pay into.

Included in those hits you'll even find the history of some cities that have already studied bicycle licensing but rejected the plan or once had them but were eventually cancelled.
