Turn signal cycling gloves

Has anyone tried these?

https://zackees.com/

They look pretty interesting, but I have a hard time spending $60 to test drive a pair of gloves.

I can't imagine very many cases where they'd be effective. Even in the situations that they show there, in a city, it's a tiny light compared to the background. I think the driver would first have to notice the cyclist, then notice that he's stopped, then notice that he had his arm out, then notice that there's a light blinking there.

Also I see that they have a cyclist with her left arm sticking up at an angle so the arrow is pointing the right way. That's the standard arm signal for "right turn" but she's turning left. This is asking to get killed.

Also, it's not the world's first turn signal glove. It's been done many times. Maybe just not as a commercial product.

Good points, all around.

I have to think they are more noticeable at night.

Hi vis clothing with a reflective strip is more noticeable than those LEDs would ever be, and the batteries never run out.

Ditto, plus a reflector band on your left hand wrist.

I have a hi-vis reflective vest with several reflective strips sown into the fabric.

I bought a pair of gloves from Lowes that are hard to miss. I think they make me more visible, but I haven't received any compliments on them yet like I have with my lights.

Here's another option currently on closeout at $7.99 though I don't see any reflective elements: Giro Bravo Gloves

Excellent daytime visibility, and a piece of Scotchlite iron-on tape on those will be brighter than anything you can run off a glove-mounted battery when headlights hit it.
