he wasn't cycling, but he was in his wheelchair, riding 300 miles to promote awareness for those with disabilities.

I won't go so far, as to say typical. Considering the road he was on. But, I hear about fatalities or near misses all the time. In the DC-Metro region.

this wasn't in DC, it was 30 miles outside Savannah Georgia.
