A co-worker caught this on his dash cam the other day: https://youtu.be/GxanMaCPats

Was it the guy riding against traffic, or the guy who made the bad left turn?

People do dumb things.

The worst part is the guy riding on the wrong side of the road almost certainly thinks he's doing the correct thing. I've spoken to many people who think that's what you're *supposed* to do. I don't know where that nugget of wisdom comes from, but lots of people believe it.

Just read any thread about wearing a helmet or about running stop signs and red lights. You'll get a taste of their logic. Their judgement appears to be better than anybody else's because the proof is that they haven't been killed yet.

Seems pretty tame and i think it does say something when we're still alive and all together while the people telling you how you should ride properly have all been hit by cars.

lostarchitect, that nugget of wisdom comes from being a pedestrian on a road with no sidewalk; then you're supposed to walk against traffic. How anyone would think this applies to bicycles is beyond me. As for that, um, 'creative' left turn, wow. Just wow.
