Watterson must have biked....I always felt that the chewing gum magazine Calvin got was a parody of bicycle magazines. Here's a couple more, anyway...

Personally I think I have too much time on my hands, not only to know this, but to know where to find the quote as well. His cycling strips were great though.

I get a daily dose of Calvin and Hobbes repeats in my email at work every morning. It's free. Go to www.ucomics.com and sign up. They make it a little difficult to get the email for free (they really want you to pay), but I'm pretty sure it's still possible.

PS: OT, but sorry for the big image. I had some evaluation software to make them smaller, but it's expired.
