He must have some super sidwalks... where I lived, they were narrow and filled with stuff... everything from traffic light control boxes to telephone poles to fire hydrants to actual furniture like bus benches... you've got to be quite skilled to do 10 to 12 mph on those sidewalks... and dodge people too...

Driver clearly at fault. To say otherwise is simply foolish. Guy has no real remorse and should have his license revoked.

If he came at me in a threatening manner and I hadn't done anything then it is get out of there while dialing 911 with the GoPro rolling.

That rider (maybe) had no idea what that driver was going to do, unless of course they have a "history". What good comes from losing your cool, cussing, etc? None.

I'm sorry but in hindsight we would all say this. People lose their cool specifically because it is happening at that time. I'm sure an experienced cyclist doesn't need to be told "well uh next time just don't lose your cool ok?". Without the hindsight to know what kind of crazy **** is possibly trying to hit and kill me with their car, I am probably going to lose my cool too - despite telling myself many times before just to hold my line, wave and smile as someone is maybe going to crush my skull in.

Besides, I used to try the cool and calm method; until I realized that incompetent drivers who may be inadvertently running into me require some sort of freakout on my part to become aware of it. Happens all the time. With some practice, I have developed a blood curdling yell that can be heard through the closed windows of a late model lexus.

I didn't mention it in my previous post. But a couple days ago. I was on a two lane blacktop going north heading towards the old center of the next city. The lanes went from 10ft. to 6ft wide, and has on-street parking along the 6ft. portion before it widens back to 10ft..

I was already on the 6ft. portion, which also had on-street parking. When the passenger in a pickup truck behind me, yelled out the window as they passed in the on-coming lane. To "Get THE **** OFF THE ROAD!!!". I told them to 'shut up' as they sped by. They didn't have room with all the traffic to be 'stupid', like the driver in the video. So they just kept going.

The driver blew the stop sign.. He needs a ticket and an assault charge for stopping car in a manner that can cause bodily harm. Assault with deadly weapon which is what he turned his car into.

Ps. I will say thankfully most drivers are curtious. On one occassion. A long long time ago I had the exact opposite. A muscle bound cyclist was gong at a fast pace.. Seemed like a pro triathelete. I was coming behind him and moved to the left to give him plenty of space, then he suddenly start pulling left also and he kept going so I was completely over onto the oncoming lane. Almost ran me off the road on the opposite side to avoid him.. I cursed him and went around him, then he sprints like a maniac again to catch me at the light, and try to beat my ass, no doubt seemed like 200 plus pounds of steroid rage... Luckily he could not out sprint my car,,,heehee,,So where am I going with this... Can go both ways with being the aggressor biker at times also. Like I said most 99.9% drivers are good and it helps to pick wide roads and ones that have ample space. On this clip it seems driver purposely blew stopnsign and trice to be the agressor on purpose....
