Hi,

Has anyone any insider information on the new Cateye lights? Cateye has released a new line of bike lights, there have been rumors about this for quite a while. I'm especially interested in planned availabilitiy and pricing.

They have 2 new models using 3W Luxeons. The first one, named Double Shot aka HL-EL710RC is a system consisting of 2 LED diodes, and the 2nd, Triple Shot (surprise, surprise!) contains 3 LEDs.

Does anyone know more? Has anyone tested them yet?

There is some discussion of this in the main forum. The MSRP is extremely high, even for a Luxeon product. Real world pricing would have to be much, much lower for these to sell many.
