Michael Savage interaction with biker in SF

I'm listening to the local AM radio stn. and "Michael Savage" (Michael Wiener) is going on about how he was driving around and a bicyclist was "swerving around in traffic" with a "smirk on her face", "Just to piss us off" and as she went by his "new car" her handlebar scratched his "new car" and he looked at her and she said, with a smirk, "I fell" and took off.

Now, this might be totally made up, but then "Michael Savage" went on and on about how if he'd chased her and grabbed her by the throat and called the cops about her scratching his new car, he'd be at fault, yadda yadda and liberalism is a mental disorder, yadda yadda, the enemy within, yadda yadda....

The main thing is, while I'm 50/50 as to whether this actually happened, lot of ppl listen to this guy, and he does have some influence. Scary.

And if it really happened, the gal who scratched up his car needs to realize she may have caused repercussions against other bicyclists later by "Savage" and fellow anger-bunnies later.

Good thing she didn't know who it was, or he would have had more than a scratch.

Actually, it sounds to me like he either inadvertently or, more likely, deliberately struck the woman on the bicycle ("I fell"), blamed her for scratching his car, and then he left the scene of an accident.

Savage (aka Wiener) is your basic neo-con POS.

I hope, in the near future, there will be a Nuremberg type tribunal set up in the USA to prosecute the entire bunch of neo-con scum for crimes against humanity. Savage-Wiener included.

I've heard his show before and, while sometimes entertaining, I think it has to be taken with a huge grain of salt. To put it politely, he seems to embellish quite a bit.

Has M.S., or for that matter, M.W., ever had anything positive to say about us bicyclists? I'm surprised at people who believe everything he says and hang on his every word

Good to see the hate for this noisy POS behind a microphone so free-flowing. Yes, I like to think if she knew who he was, she'd have kicked his car to pieces then torched it, with him inside.

And yes, it also sounds like he may have hit her, maybe on purpose, then blamed her.

The Savage Wiener needs to be put in uniform and sent to Iraq on mine-clearing detail.

This does not have anything to do with right-left,ect. I am a conservative myself, but Michael Savage is about show business, and B.S. The guy probably doesn't believe what he says himself. It's all about ratings. The more outrageous that he sounds, the more listeners he hopes to garner. Cheap talk radio in the guise of discussion. He claims that he possesses a doctorate, and is a Phd. How do we know? Michael Savage is just a loud mouth used car salesman from New York.

Hmm,

Lets see, some choice Michael Savage comments (Disclaimer, I am a liberal, whatever that means)

The U.S "is being taken over by the freaks, the cripples, the perverts and the mental defectives"

About immigrants
"You open the door to them, and the next thing you know, they are defecating on your country and breeding out of control"

Third World Nations
"turd world nations"

About latinos
"With the [Latino] population that has emerged, since they breed like rabbits, in many cases the whites will become a minority in their own nation... The white people don't breed as often for whatever reason. I guess many homosexuals are involved. That is also part of the grand plan, to push homosexuality to cut down on the white race"

Discussing student volunteers giving food to the homeless

"the girls from Branson [school] can go in and maybe get raped... because they seem to like the excitement of it. There's always the thrill and possibility they'll be raped in a dumpster while giving out a turkey sandwich"

Not to bring politics into this, but it seems that the guy aims his anger at people who either think differently from him or are different from him (cyclists included). Unless proven otherwise, I give absolutely no credence to his statements.

His real last name is Weiner. He calls himself Savage because he wants to sound macho.

Weiner: Oh, you're one of the sodomites. You should only get AIDS and die, you pig. How's that? Why don't you see if you can sue me, you pig. You got nothing better than to put me down, you piece of garbage. You have got nothing to do today, go eat a sausage and choke on it. Get trichinosis.

He said this live on his show on MSNBC, and was then fired. Not suprisingly, the FCC has no problem with hate speech like this, they only start lawsuits when liberals say "f u c k" or someone shows a breast.

Wow! (Baiskeli, I realise this is a quote, not your opinion, and my response is directed at Savage, not you!). When did America become a "white's nation?". When did America stop being populated exclusively by immigrants? And how many white liberals would be part of a conspiracy to destroy whites?

Uh, perhaps this is my own cognitive dissonance at work to save my sanity, but I do not believe Savage is for real. I consider him a sort of "performance artist" who probably doesn't believe a word he's saying. I think Ann Coulter's much the same. Anyway, I listen to, and am entertained by, Michael Savage's show because, honestly, The Daily Show or The Onion could not have written a better Right Wing nutjob. The only depressing part is how many people hang on his every word, but "everybody's got disciples, anything can happen."

Yup, Savage-Weiner is false-flag BS artist who exploits large numbers of powerless people -- many of whom have legitimate grievances. His followers are led down a blind alley where they are abandoned.

Well put.

I, too, am sick of folks who try to associate political leanings with cycling. I ride a bicycle for pleasure and for health and to save money and natural resources, rather than to make a public political statement. [For the record, I am a centrist, on a U.S. scale.]

I am so glad that I have no idea who you people are talking about. If you cycled more, you wouldn't have time to listen to the radio.
