Speed

I was watching that old Sandra Bullock/Keanu Reeves/Dennis Hopper action thriller, "Speed." You know, the one where Dennis Hopper plants a bomb on a bus that triggers at 50 mph. and explodes if the bus drops speed back below 50, and Keanu Reeves has to save the bus while Sandra Bullock drives.

Well, part of the script went like this:

Sandra Bullock sits down on the bus next to a nice 55-ish lady, who tells her, "I used to drive, but now I like to sit back and relax while the bus driver fights the traffic."

"I like my car," says Sandra, rather irritated.

Later in the movie, the older woman gets blown up and crushed under the wheels of the bus.

I'm not suggesting anything here, just telling it the way it happened in the movie...

"Speed" was definitely not one of the high points of American cinema.

Please Speed 2 was so horrible that Keanu (Whoa Bogus, Dude) Reeves wanted no part of it.
