While browsing the local bike advocacy website, I came up with this map db of bike accidents.
https://www.maphub.org/BikeCrashForm

This is really cool. You have to join, then subscribe to a hub to see the details. It shows just where the accidents have occured!

Anybody know of other map dbs that can be viewed to show where bike accidents have occured?

Yes, sorry about the abbreviation. It seems that there are so many threads that have "cyclist killed in accident" type subjects that a database of accidents would be useful for getting city planners to design safer streets or something.

This site (https://www.maphub.org) has many details about accidents and entry of accidents is controlled by a bike advocacy group bike-pgh, so as to hold down falacious entries. You go to the bike-pgh site to enter the details, then they verify it and put it into the map/database.

Here is an example-- once you click on an accident icon on the map you get this kind of detail:
Object Details Name: Car turns into biker

Type: Vehicle Collision
Address: Fifth Ave and Halket St
Lat/Long: 40.4391314170338, -79.9620709758752 Go to Map
