Delta Cycle Rack Recall

I just found out about this in my e-mail. This item is sold at Nashbar. Apparently there is a problem with the mounting hardware, it's not strong enough to hold up, and racks have fallen off the wall. It would be a shame for someone's bike to hit the floor from this. It says to contact Delta and they will send extra hardware. This is the rack.

Bah no big deal if you know about it just use bigger longer screws. Not a bike rack but had some walll mount shelves one time. Never did put much faith in the hardware included so i used 4 inch dry wall screws and wing bolt lag bolts. You could put 500 pound on them and not worry bout thoose things..

It could be that the top part is pulling loose from the rest of it when bikes are added.

Ahh the frame hardware it self i see. Ive learned to never trust shelfign systems as shipped. These racks are just that specialized shelfing systems. I like the ones they have where it olds your front wheel (or back) and has the little u shaped peice i might just get me one of them once i got a steady job and am done with this odd job crap.

By my estiamate theres about $450 worth of bike parts and bike related gear ive got to have by start of next season.
Now i did make me something for my bike. I took a old blue tarp cut it up stiched it togather and made a very hand bike tarp cover. I really cant be bringing my bike in every time it rains only place to put it inside is down stair in a damp nasty basement or in my room. And no way am i carrying any thing up and down those stairs a min of 14 times a week heh.

Its realy a great tarp cover as i left flaps at the bottom so i can cover every inch of the bike even the bottom :)

Its funny they say nessesity is the mother of invention its true and so is having limited cash flow hehe
Hmm come to think of it i could sell these suckers if i lived in a area where cycling was more popular.
