I remember riding in the "Great Mass Getaway Ride" (1992) and meeting a guy who had lost a leg - he had a bike with a specially adapted saddle - apart from that, it looked just like any ordinary road-bike. He was a incredible rider, very strong and many people (including me) had a job keeping up with him. I wonder if he's still around.
