Clueless peds and skaters
I had to be in Orlando, Florida this morning so I decided to take the bike along, and after my errand was accomplished, ride the Cross Seminiole Trail in Oviedo. The trail was well done and well kept, too short though so I did some additional miles at the trail head to get a decent ride.
What I couldn't get over was the pedestrians and inline skaters. Both invariably had an IPOD in their ears and were totally oblivious to everything around them. The peds weren't too bad, being slow and generally confining themselfes to the far right or far left. The skaters were a total MENACE,floating back and forth across the trail, unable to hear a bike bell or a hearty "ON YOUR LEFT" with their heads in the clouds and their backsides EVERYWHERE.
It made me keenly aware of WHY we have a law against bikers wearing earphones over both ears. So, if you take the IPOD along and jam out to the music on your rides, ther life you endanger may be your own.

I have an airzound. It's louder than some car horns. I honked at my boyfriend while he was mowing the lawn with his back turned. He jumped right around. The package has a warning not to use it on bike paths.
