How to talk me off my bike

My wife always seems to be encouraging me to drive. Her efforts are practically always in vain (including yesterday when it was especially windy and rainy). However, she did talk me into driving today and I don't even feel guilty. It did take more than one try though. I have numbered her attempts:

1) "Why don't you take the truck today? You'll get home early" (no dice)

2) "But you've been riding hard and your legs are sore" (no dice)

3) "The weather has been particularly bad this week. You've spent as much time on your bike in 4 days as you usually would in five, so you've really put in a full week of riding" (interesting point, but I'm still not persuaded).

4) "Since your legs hurt, riding isn't going to provide any benefit today. If you drive, you can go for a swim at the health club. After work, you can go to a fancy grocery store and pick up something nice for dinner. You can play with the dog when you get home early, and we can have a nice relaxed evening together". BINGO!

I would have held out for #5: "if you save a bit of energy today, after dinner, we can... "

This is a good bit of the reason I went ahead and sold my truck. We're down to one car, and she just can't be without a car...

GL, and stay on that bike (tho #5 would be tough to argue)!!!

Ya, I was going to say, skip straight to what works. My wife would just say, "I'll give you sex." (Of course, I'd realize it was because she was in the mood, and I'd ride anyway and have my cake and eat it too.) ...and that's some good cake, I might add...

But what happens when the you & the wife do not engage in wiki wiki after she talked you out of riding the bike to ride her instead? Women are not stupid when it comes to using their ***** as a very effective lure or weapon. and guys fall for it every time. We are so predictable, gulliable & too stupid to realize what is really going on. You could say when it comes to that we think with the wrong head. Well most of us are. I've learned to say, "no I'm going to ride my bike, then I'll ride you later", or vice versa. works everytime. I've yet for my wife to refuse this one.

I'd hold out for sex and the bike too. Really it's a great combination and she is getting the benefit of you staying in great shape riding the bike...it's a win win. Tell her riding the bike is practice for sex because you want to try the reverse bicycle position.

This is the point where I wish I had the link to that "bike riders have better sexual stamina" study...
