Bikes: My frame is covered in reflective tape. After adding ridiculously large handlebars, a comfy seat, and enough carrying capacity to haul a Thanksgiving grocery run home, the manufacturer wouldn't recognize it.

a bicycle survey by a bicycle advocate

Here's a bicycle survey that's actually being conducted by a bicyclist. (Imagine!)

This is why you need a secondary email that can be given out for such purposes. I have such an email that I use when ordering online and other commercial purposes.

That was a very indepth survey. They seemed to be very interested in the safety of cycling. In my entire life, I have only had two minor mishaps. So, I never had a 'major' wreck. Well, I am sure when they are done with the survey they will have some very comprehensive results to show the non-cycling community.

That's what I've got my hotmail account for. It gets spammed around 30 times a day anyway, so one or two more won't make a huge amount of difference.

I am responding, as well. Spam is a problem, but not being heard is a bigger problem.

I took the survey. Too bad the results won't be sent to a planning person at the Georgia Dept of Transportation.

Well, I've had to dump my e-mail address at certain websites in the course of my university study as some of them want that before they let you access any of their information (can sometimes be a good place for research). That's the real use for a hotmail account. I generally siphon all my spam to that one (it gets spammed heaps anyway). My proper e-mail hardly ever gets spammed as a result.
