Exercise makes your brain larger
According to Dr. Gabe Mirkin. Here is an excerpt:
Dr. Gabe Mirkin's Fitness and Health e-Zine
April 8, 2007
Exercise Makes Your Brain Larger
Regular exercise makes your brain larger, according to a
study from the University of Illinois (Journal fo Gerontology,
November 2006). With aging, your brain becomes smaller. This
study showed that 60 to 79-year-old men who exercised regularly
actually had their brains grow larger. Study participants who did
only a stretching and toning program had their brains shrink.
I really needed this good news! Well, unless it doesn't apply to 47 year-olds.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

It's actually true.....
Exercise stimulates compounds that stimulate interconnection of nerves and growth of new neural tissue.
See Exercise and the Brain, Newsweek, March 26, 2007 for an good article on this.

What happened to "size doesn't matter?"
Are peoples' brains sized proportionally (i.e. small people have smaller brains?). Most cyclists seem a bit smaller than the average person.
