Foursome arrested after bicyclist hit by beer bottle
PEORIA - Police arrested a car full of men early Tuesday after one of them allegedly hurled a beer bottle at a bicyclist riding along Brandywine Drive.

Arrested for aggravated battery and mob action were Eric C. Allison, 18, of 111 S. Vennum St., Eureka; Sean M. Davitt, 19, of 202 Pinewood Estate, Chillicothe; Michael W. Harris, 21, of 1324 N. Cummings Lane, Washington; and Cody D. Searle, 19, of 231 Briargate Road, Washington.

The foursome was driving in the 4500 block of Brandywine about 12:55 a.m. when one of them tossed a beer bottle out the window at the bicyclist, a 22-year-old Peoria man, police said.

The bottle hit the man in the middle of the back, causing minor redness and swelling. He declined medical treatment.

Along with beer, police found a bottle of vodka in the car.

I love hearing about guys like this getting caught. Sometimes it feels like people get away with too much with too little consequences.

Something tells me that if this were a bottle of soda there would be no arrests.
