Honked at a car to get him to move = ok?

On my way home tonight, I arrived at an intersection where I wanted to make a right, but the car in front of me was hugging the curb, so I beeped at him and motioned for him to move ahead so I could get by. I figured they do it to me all the time and expect me to move, so why shouldn't I? He didn't move. but then neither do I.

Ok, so I didn't really do that, but if I had, would it have been ok? I sure thought about it while I waited patiently for the light to turn green.

pass cars hugging the curb on the left.

watch for stale greens on the cross street as you approach.

Uh, how would honking at cars be any better than the honkers who can't stand the 1-2 s delay you give them?

Same here! Mounted right under my headlight. No one expects that kind of sound from a bicycle. I love it!

Are you really in that big a rush?

If you were a car, would you expect him to move over. If you wanted to be treated as traffic you have to act like traffic.

In this case, honk with your elbow while sipping a coffee and talking on the phone.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

A feeling of satisfaction?
